Scientists have a duty to challenge government policies, top researcher says

When political leaders ignore scientific evidence on controversial topics, such as harm reduction and safe-injection sites, scientists are obliged to speak out, says Dr. Thomas Kerr, director of the Urban Health Research Initiative in British Columbia.
